Invest in Your Body

   Your Physical Self

It’s easy to get caught up in our busy lives and take our body for granted.

I’ve been guilty of this.

  • Not eating quality food
    • living on coffee & carbs
  • Pushing myself to get something done
  • Not getting adequate sleep
  • Not moving or exercising much

I wasn’t taking the best care of my body.

I decided to do something about it.

I signed up for a nutrition program.  I’ve lost 23 lbs so far.

I have some good days and some not so good days.

I feel better and I’m learning a lot.

How well do you take care of your body?

You don’t have to spend money to invest in your body & health.

Invest in you

What does it mean to invest?

Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary defines invest as:

1: to commit (money) in order to earn a financial return
2: to make use of for future benefits or advantages
3: to involve or engage especially emotionally

What does it mean to invest in you?

For me, to invest in yourself is to decide and commit to becoming a better you by taking action to grow and improve you over time.

Improvement doesn’t happen automatically.
If we want to become better; we have to work on it.

The effort you put into investing in yourself plays a large role in determining the quality of your life now and in the future.

Become a Better You

Becoming a better you, requires a curiosity and willingness to explore grow and invest in you.

Scientists use their curiosity to gather information to formulate a hypothesis then research, define and conduct experiments to test their hypothesis.

Artists learn the tools, techniques, and methods then continuously practice them and incorporate them in their art until they master it.

As human beings, we are multidimensional and multifaceted.

We are of mind, body and soul.

  • We are intellectual and are creative
  • We have heart and are emotional
  • We are social creatures that crave connection and community
  • We are physical living beings

As such, there are many areas and ways we can invest in ourselves.

I’ll share some ideas in the future blog posts.

Until then, consider….

If you were to invest in you what could be different?
