How are you?

The beginning of the year is a great time to check in with you, all of you.

How are you doing in each of these areas?

    • Mind: Are you using it, learning or exercising it?
    • Body: Are you moving it? Do you feel good in it?
    • Heart: Are you connected to others?
    • Spirit: Are you in touch with it?
      (This is often referred to as your soul, your emotions, your character, your essence) Are you happy with who you are and how you are?

What do you need to pay more attention to?
What may you need to do differently?
What actions may you take to strengthen one or more of these areas to be a better you?
I’d love to hear what practices you have or your thoughts.

Avoiding holiday frenzy

The holidays are fast approaching. What are you doing to keep your peace of mind and stay out of frenzy?

Here’s are five tips:
1. Block or leverage your time to manage things in small steps or groupings.

2. Prepare your shopping list ahead of time. Don’t just go shopping and waste all day looking for things and not actually getting anything done.

3. Be strategical when you go out. Try to go to the places close together around the same time to avoid wasting additional time in traffic or money on gas.

4. Don’t try to do everything and be all things to all people. It’s the perfect way to set yourself up.

5. Take breaks. Practice self-compassion and enjoy the moment.

Remember it’s the thought that counts.  When in doubt, just say no. It’ll be one less thing you’ll have to do or worry about.

Most important is to remember to breathe and take care of yourself.

Creative Retreat

I attended Laura West’s Creative Business Retreat at the Sea in Virginia Beach and met these amazing women business owners. We created our own piece of art through out the retreat. We started out with affirmations and over the hours and days added new layers.  Above is the picture of our completed creations.  We worked on our vision maps and 90 day plans. It was good to get away from the day to day, allow ourselves to play and be creative. Not to mention, enjoy the ocean and the dolphins before the winter cold comes upon us.
