The truth will set you free

On the Edge

If you read my last post then you know I was on the edge.

I was tired of trying to be superwoman and feeling like I wasn’t doing anything well. 

I decided to take a step back. 

I took the time to reflect and really look at my life.  

This is what I learned….

Here’s truth bomb #1: I wasn’t being honest with myself.

Truth bomb #2:  I was losing sight of me & what I really wanted for my life.

Truth bomb #3: I was sick of feeling like I wasn’t good enough trying to do everything well and be all things to all people.

If I was being really honest with myself, I knew that…

  • I wasn’t taking good care of myself.
  • I wasn’t being present.
  • I wasn’t fully engaged in my own life.
  • I wasn’t being my best.  
  • I didn’t love how I was living my life. 
  • All I was doing was reacting.
  • I needed to make a change but how? Where to start?

Being the leader of your life is a process.

The first step to be the leader of your life is self-awareness.

Women struggle with what is expected of them or what they think is expected of them.  We tend to put others needs ahead of our own.  We may feel distracted, overwhelmed and frustrated.  If we don’t address this then we may start to feel resentful which has its own consequences.

Have you ever struggled with others expectations?         What did you think was expected of you?

I needed to regain control and make myself a priority in my own life.

Apples are ready to be picked.

It’s time to take a moment to reflect on:

  • What you’ve learned and accomplished so far this year?
  • What you need to stop doing?
  • What you need to let go of?
  • What you need to continue to do?

Shifts for Renewal

What goals do you want to renew?

  • What do you want to be doing in the upcoming months?
  • What shifts do you need to make?
  • What do you need to start doing?
  • What new habits do you need to cultivate?
  • What do you need to invest in?
  • Where can you bring more joy into your life?
