Flow

I don’t know about you but I love it when I feel like I’m in a state of Flow. All cylinders are working at the same time. My juices are flowing, and energy is aligned. I’m just going with the flow. Getting done what needs to be done without stress. Ahh. Love it when it happens.

The challenge is getting into the state of flow. When my mind is racing with thoughts or I feel different demands on my shoulders, it’s hard to get there. So, what’s a girl to do?

Steps to getting into a state of flow

First, I take out a piece of paper and write down all the thoughts spiraling in my mind. Empty the brain.

Then, I take a few grounding deep breaths. Inhale deeply and exhale slowly.

Next, I get clear on what it is I intend to do with this block of time I have carved out.

After I’m clear, I set the mood and my intention. Maybe I light a candle. Turn on my daytime lights on high, put some music on. Drink some water.

Finally, I start. It may not be a perfect start, but I just start with something. As long as i’m feeling grounded and calm without judgement, it comes. Flow.

What do you do to get into a state of flow?
